When you want more than a plan

You may already know plenty about healthy eating. You may have tried changing your meals, taking supplements, improving your sleep or getting into better routines.

The difficult part can be knowing what is relevant to you, making changes alongside a demanding week and knowing what to adjust when real life gets in the way.

The Energy Foundation gives us more time to work through that together.

Rather than changing everything at once, we’ll identify your priorities, make practical changes and review them as we go. If something isn’t working for you, we can understand why and adjust it rather than simply adding another thing to your list.

If any of this sounds familiar

The things you've tried didn't work because they were solving the wrong problem. Not because you were doing them wrong.

You've been told to push through. You're tired of pushing through.

Most women are told to write off the tiredness as getting older, being too busy, not managing well enough. You’re handed vague advice like “reduce stress” or “get more sleep” with no real explanation of why you feel the way you do or what would actually help.

And when that doesn’t work, you’re told you’re doing it wrong.

Here is what nobody has told you. The women struggling most are often the ones doing everything right. When you’re using all of that to keep going in a life your body is already finding hard, you’re not solving the problem. You’re just getting better at pushing past it.

What happened to looking after yourself with the same care you give to everyone else?

There is a reason you feel like this

You think you know what you should be doing, you’ve done the research. But it doesn’t always fit your life, and there is so much conflicting information you don’t know where to start.

This is not about you. It is an energy problem. Your body has been under sustained pressure for a long time, and at some point it started managing that pressure in ways that leave you depleted. That is not your fault. It is what a body does under these conditions.

There is a reason you feel the way you do. Finding your reason, the specific one, is where we begin. It is the explanation nobody has given you, and it is what finally makes the rest make sense.

How the programme works

Before your first session, you’ll complete a detailed health questionnaire and a three-to-five-day food and lifestyle diary. I’ll review these before we meet so our first session can focus on your individual situation.

Over 12 weeks, we’ll work through three phases.

1.
Understand

Weeks 1 to 4

We’ll build a clear picture of your health, nutrition, sleep, routines and current pressures and identify the areas that are most relevant to focus on first.

You’ll understand what we’re working on and why, rather than simply being given a list of things to change.

2.
Stabilise

Weeks 5 to 8

We’ll start putting your recommendations into practice and review how they’re working within your actual week.

This gives us time to adjust your nutrition, routines and other relevant areas as we learn what is realistic and useful for you.

3.
Build

Weeks 9 to 12

We’ll build on what’s working, address anything that’s getting in the way and help you develop an approach you feel confident continuing beyond the programme.

The aim isn’t to leave you dependent on ongoing support. It’s to give you the understanding and practical tools to take what you’ve learned forward.

What is included

Six 1:1 sessions

Your first session is 60 minutes, sessions two to five are 30 minutes, and your final session is 45 minutes. Sessions take place online and are usually fortnightly across the 12 weeks.

Pre-programme assessment

You’ll complete a detailed health questionnaire and food and lifestyle diary before we start. I’ll review these before your first session so our work is personalised from the beginning.

Mid-week check-ins

Between sessions, you’ll have a short check-in so you can let me know what’s going well, what’s been difficult and anything that’s getting in the way. This means we don’t have to wait until the next session to know something needs adjusting.

Personalised session resources

After each session, you’ll receive a clear summary of what we’ve focused on, why it matters and what you’re working on next, along with relevant resources where useful.

Supplement guidance

Supplements aren’t automatically part of the programme. Where they may be appropriate, I’ll explain what I’m recommending and why.

Private testing where appropriate

Private testing may be considered where it could provide useful additional information. We’ll discuss why it may be relevant, the options and the additional cost before you decide whether to proceed.

What you'll take away

A clearer understanding of your priorities

You’ll understand what we’ve chosen to focus on and the thinking behind your recommendations.

An approach shaped around your life

We’ll have time to test what works within your working week and adjust what doesn’t, rather than expecting you to follow a plan perfectly.

More confidence in your choices

The aim is for you to understand your own nutrition and routines well enough to make informed decisions without constantly wondering whether you should be doing something different.

Practical tools you can continue using

You’ll finish with recommendations, resources and routines that have been developed and adjusted with you over the 12 weeks.

A plan for moving forward

In your final session, we’ll review what you’ve learned, what’s worth continuing and where you may want to focus next.

NutriSian health and nutrition coaching

Hi, I'm Sian

I’m a BANT and CNHC Registered Nutritional Therapist, trained at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition.

Before retraining, I spent more than 20 years working in a global software environment while raising two boys largely on my own. I understand how different good advice can look when it has to fit around work, family and a full week.

That’s why my approach is practical. We’ll work with the life you actually have rather than an ideal routine you’re expected to follow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most of my clients feel this way when they start. The programme is designed for women with full plates. Sessions are fortnightly and 30 minutes. The mid-week check-in takes five minutes. The commitments between sessions are one small thing at a time, calibrated to your actual week. This is not one more thing to fit in. It is the thing that makes everything else feel more manageable.

No. We look at what you are already eating and make small adjustments. We tweak and adjust as we go along so it works for you specifically. No generic meal plans. Just practical changes that fit your actual life.

Most things you have tried addressed symptoms rather than the pattern driving them. This programme starts by understanding your specific pattern, not applying a generic plan. I review your diary and questionnaire before we meet so the first session is already about you. We build on what is already there rather than asking you to start again.

There are no bad weeks in this programme. There are weeks where more got in the way. The mid-week check-in is partly for this reason. If something has not worked, we look at what got in the way and adjust. A difficult week is information, not a verdict.

Yes. A normal result means nothing clinically deficient was found. It does not mean your levels are optimal for the demands of your life, or that the pattern driving your fatigue has been identified. Standard tests do not measure everything relevant to how you feel. If private testing would give us useful information, I will explain what and why before recommending anything.

Yes. You can spread the cost across the programme if you prefer. This can be discussed on the call.

Not sure if this is right for you? Start with a call.

Fifteen minutes. Free. We look at what has been going on, I share where I think the real issue sits, and we work out whether this is the right fit. No obligation.
